What We Do

Chefs On The Run uses highly skilled people to provide recruitment services that respond to the needs of both employers and applicants by helping to place the right person in the right position. Chefs On The Run also supplies casual personnel and temporary contractors to a wide range of businesses, primarily in the hospitality, catering, healthcare, education and retail industries and also to individuals, clubs, government and corporations (“Clients”).

Some examples of the types of personal information that may be held by Chefs On The Run include the name, date of birth, contact details, qualifications, work history, skills, health, résumé, salary/benefit information, driver’s licence number, Police Check, Working with Aged Certification, Working with Children Certification, Food Handler’s Certification and Visa details relating to employees and contractors.

Some examples of the types of corporate or other commercial information that may be held by Chefs On The Run includes the name, details of an organisation and its requirements, contact details of key personnel, access information, security requirements and details of forthcoming events relating to Clients.

If you choose not to provide Chefs On The Run with particular information that has been requested, Chefs On The Run may not be best placed to provide the service that you have requested.

  • from Clients to whom services are supplied as part of our personnel supply and contracting business, including feedback received from such Clients; and

In the personnel outsourcing aspect of our business, your corporate or other commercial information is used to enable Chefs On The Run to deliver the personnel, product or services that Clients require with the highest possible degree of accuracy.

Will your personal information be given to anyone else?

We will disclose only such personal information about you as is absolutely necessary to Clients for the purpose of recruiting you to specific positions, or for supplying your services to Clients as a casual staff member or contractor.

We may also disclose some of your personal information to the following parties outside of Chefs On The Run when it is specifically relevant to the communication and we believe it to be in your best interests to do so –

  • Chefs On The Run’s agents, contractors (e.g. people who are authorised to administer our computer systems or to other recruitment suppliers, where we are working on a joint recruitment project), professional advisers, consultants and representatives;
  • Clients of Chefs On The Run where there is a specific requirement that we provide proof of matters such as Police Checks, Working with Aged certification, Working with Children certification or Food Handler’s certification being in place, specific qualifications or induction courses undertaken or Visa status;
  • You and your referees in making enquiries;
  • Your financial institution and others relating to your remuneration and benefits (at your request);
  • Government bodies or others as required/authorised by law; and
  • Chefs On The Run’s related companies and any companies involved in a corporate or business restructure by Chefs On The Run.

Where we are required to supply information about you by government bodies or others as required/authorised by law, we will notify you that a request has been received and that we are complying with that request. Should your consent be required prior to our making such disclosure, we will request that you provide your consent prior to our doing so and will not disclose such information should you withhold your consent unless required to do so by law.

You can access your personal information

In our recruitment and personnel supply businesses, the personal information that we collect is used to provide recruitment, casual staffing, and contracting services, for example, by matching employees or contractors to client needs.

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know.

For security reasons, you may be required to put your request in writing.

Further, you may be charged a fee for searching for and providing access to your information if there is a significant amount of time required to respond to your request.
